I’ve spent more than 30 years developing the skills I can offer today, with over two decades of experience in devising, securing support for and executing integrated organisational strategies. I’ve held a range of key leadership roles for over 25 years, introducing effective strategic and business planning processes and leading substantial, overlapping change programmes alongside income generation and infrastructure investment projects.
I have substantial experience in the charity and public sectors nationally and locally, with an effective track record in membership and networked organisations. I currently chair the trustee board of a charity delivering statutory public functions at Integrated Care System and County Council levels.
I’m experienced in managing programmes and partnerships, substantial income and expenditure budgets, external suppliers and teams of diverse staff within differing organisational cultures.
I have strong expertise in insight and evidence, health and social care policy and
advocacy, with a strong focus on gathering, analysing and communicating people’s views and experiences in ways that generate maximum impact and tackle inequalities.
I have wide experience of key marketing, research, campaigning, communications, policy and stakeholder management approaches, techniques and technologies, developed over three decades in research- and policy-led environments.
Crucially, I’m used to working in circumstances where resources are scarce so every pound and every minute count.
I’ve also served in advisory roles as deputy chair of the General Medical Council’s Good Medical Practice advisory forum, as a member of the ABPI’s patient advisory council and on Islington Council’s inequality taskforce.
